What you’ll do:
- Own and evolve production process by ensuring reliability, scalability, and audit readiness
- Lead incident management and operational reviews: triage, cross-team coordination, RCA, corrective/preventive actions, and executive-ready reporting
- Set standards for runbooks, SOPs, and incident records; drive process discipline and continuously improve documentation quality and usability
- Use performance analytics and trend analysis to identify systemic drivers of failures, quality leakage, throughput bottlenecks, and cost optimization opportunities
- Define, track, and report out on operational KPI and SLI
- Own quality controls and QMS requirements to enforce standardized processes, defined checkpoints, and measurable compliance across production workflows
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to translate operational and quality findings into backlog items and improvement opportunities
- Provide clear and timely communication to manage stakeholder expectations
What you’ll need:
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Working knowledge of geospatial data concepts and tooling (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Hands-on experience operating or supporting production systems, including data pipelines or automated batch workflows
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to perform structured root cause analysis using evidence-based approaches and metrics
- Experience using monitoring, logging, and analytical tools, such as Grafana and PowerBI
- Working knowledge of CI/CD and automation tooling (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions) in a production environment
- Understanding of QMS-driven environments, including process discipline, incident management, and audit-readiness
- Ability to analyze operational data and define meaningful metrics and trends
- Ability to work effectively with software engineers and understand technical discussions around pipelines, code changes, and deployments
What’s nice to have:
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, either Azure and/or AWS, and common services used in application or data deployments.
- Basic coding or scripting skills (e.g. Python)
- Understanding and/or certification for data-driven quality and process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma
- Prior experience in supporting ISO audits or formal QMS workflows
